Here, I'll help you bring your emerging WHO, your developing WHAT, and the hopeful WHERE into your search, so the question shifts from "which school is right?" to "who is God shaping me to become next, to study what, and where?"

College Search Coaching

Choosing a college is not the whole story of your life. It's one scene in a much bigger story God is already telling. It's an important scene, but it doesn't have to be a stressful one. College search coaching helps students approach this season with curiosity instead of dread. Along with "Where should I go?" we ask a better question: "Who is God shaping me to become in this next chapter, and where can I best grow into that?"

The process is still practical and strategic. We work through lists, deadlines, essays, and financial aid. But it starts with who you are and whose story you belong to, so your choice grows out of calling rather than pressure.

What college search coaching does for you

  • Starts with your story, not the rankings: We look at your abilities, interests, values, and the experiences that have shaped you. Your college list should reflect who you're becoming, not what everyone else is chasing.

  • Discerns wisely, not alone: We use the HEARS approach: Holy Scripture, Experiences, Allies, Reflection & Imagination, and Study & Research. That way decisions are made with prayer, good counsel, and good information, together with the people who know and love you.

  • Builds a thoughtful, realistic list: You'll get a balanced mix of reach, target, and likely schools that fit your academic profile, financial situation, and the kind of place where you'll grow.

  • Makes sense of admissions: I explain how colleges weigh GPA, course rigor, testing (if applicable), essays, recommendations, activities, and demonstrated interest, so there are fewer mysteries.

  • Maps out the journey: You'll have a clear timeline for deadlines, testing, applications, campus visits, and financial aid steps, so nothing catches you off guard.

  • Helps you tell your story honestly: Essay and activity coaching helps you describe who you really are. It isn't about packaging a persona. Colleges remember students who are real.

  • Walks with you through the decision: We’ll compare offers, weigh cost and fit, and pray through the options. And here's the freeing part: there isn't just one "right" school you could miss. God's story is bigger than any single choice, and your calling will keep unfolding wherever you land.

Who benefits most

  • High school juniors and seniors who want a focused, purposeful process instead of scattershot applying.

  • Parents who want to support their student's growth and ownership without taking over the process.

Typical coaching components

  • Discovery session: We cover your academic profile, activities, interests, values, and constraints, and begin exploring where your story seems to be heading.

  • Personalized college list: You'll get 7–10 schools across reach, target, and likely categories, each with a clear reason it fits you.

  • Essay coaching: We move from brainstorming to drafts to feedback to final polish, helping you find the story only you can tell.

  • Interview prep: Mock interviews and common questions help you walk in with confidence.

  • Ongoing support: Check-ins, strategy adjustments, and decision guidance through admission season.
